My takeaways: Some people are estranged. Slightly fewer in the UK than the US. Online, people have some terminology and abbreviations about this. The Beckhams have some family drama. That unspecified drama has led to an estrangement. The author has disdain for Instagram.

Trumpism specifically provided excuses for bad behavior that didn’t exist before. Their behavior was not normal until Trump made it normal. My parents would not call me a libtard without trumps permission and influence

Fortunately I have good parents but my church split because of shitty old people, and a commonality is if you suggest they've ever done anything wrong and need to change their behaviour, they get offended and demand an apology
