I see a lot of people blaming this train wreck on both Vivek's and his PAC's poor/non-existent vetting. But I'd like to at least toss out the idea that these are all bad people who *had* vetted the story and simply did not see anything all that bad with Acton's mother's or stepfather's actions.

it is fascinating how the entire political media covers military support for Israel the exact opposite way that polling shows it plays, as if candidates who oppose it are the ideologues taking a risky stand and the Israel supporters are the commonsense moderates

Like, someone should explain to Americans that - no - prices will not go down, prices will go up but by less and by the same amount wages go up, and someone should explain the French that - no - you cannot retire at 60 when life expectancy is 83 and fertility rates are below population replacement.
