Direct your anger towards the hard targets, then. The people in politics and power, who are self admitted rapists and traffickers, who show no remorse for their actions. Indeed they flaunt them and parade their victims.

No one owes Geller their forgiveness, and his actions shouldn't be swept under the rug, but what outcome do you want from this, and what would the benefit be? The victim wants to remain private and probably doesn't want to relive their trauma, so I don't think that benefit is for them.

"so there needs to be almost disproportionate punishment" It's hard to advocate for rehabilitation and redemption when so many offenders don't face justice to begin with. I don't think that makes disproportionate punishment against a remorseful offender productive or healthy for anyone
