Bandwagons are jumped on without context and things get out of control FAST. Games of broken telephone play out on timelines and in social spaces - people just guess at things and go with whatever sounds right to pass on to the next person so they're 'included'. Some just make stuff up.

Cynical post but it's hard for me to believe you can have a genuine conversation anywhere online anymore, nuance feels dead. Everywhere is growing toxic - people are labelled, othered and demonised for reasonable but differing opinions. You're simultaneously too much and not enough of something.
