The pressing we saw in the 1st few games was built around Cooper. His loss is a huge blow. Who to play in midfield is the biggest conundrum for me. Finneran & Sanders looked great last week but not yesterday. Palmer looked poor last week but very good yesterday. Robbo is probably the key to it all.

I agree Matt. Cooper has been our only truly consistent player add Ness and Finneran for the most part to that I guess. But the problem isn’t just with the strikers, the attacking patterns aren’t there, and god knows what the best 6/8 combo is…

I completely agree. I thought after his spell at Notts he would've been playing higher up by now, but as you say there was a strong chance he could've returned to Notts. Even more frustrating that Mansfield now have him.

He started to mess with selections and formations with every change making us worse. But the recruitment wasn’t good enough to begin with.

Yeah, I'd agree there. I thought Cooper has looked good too but injury prone. Kanu seemed to do okay when he came on but the jury is still out on him. You're right to say Samuels-Smith is Miles off it. Mustapha looked promising but has attitude issues. IMO we've gambled on too many so-so players.
