That's great and I agree. I would like statements like this to be accompanied by thoughts about how you will in the future try to listen more to the advice of people who were saying this many years ago, when we could have done something about it.

But like... It doesn't feel like a step in the right direction. It feels like a way to look like you're taking a step in the right direction, without actually taking the step. This doesn't actually *do* anything, and we're still ignoring proven law violations.

NOBODY is calling for perfection. Pointing out he is doing a fillabuster after confirming Marco Rubio rings hollow. How do you do an entire speech against an admin you helped fill? How can we trust your words of resistance after you voted FOR a fascist? Trust is the topic & he hasn't earned it.
