it cannot actually be ignored or danced around that the closure of BioWare came so soon after the Saudi and Jared Kushner acquisition of EA. they absolutely did take the studio making EA’s broadly queerest games out back and shoot it old yeller style. do not let yourself or colleagues ignore that

you can't judge when bioware was really killed because the mismanagement at the higher level under EA has been so constant and pervasive since the acquisition at every stage that every game shipped at all was a herculean miracle

You got indie studios with a team of like 15 making games with "graphics beyond the ps4" though. The real problem is AAA studio having dogshit leadership and if we let them blame all the costs on something else we're also letting them later join indie studios and recreate the same problems there.
