All this tells me is that the Spectrum10k boycott by autistic people actually worked. I doubt he would have come to this conclusion publicly if there hadn't been so much backlash against that project, by autistic people specifically.

I do appreciate what he's doing moving forward with his research but he's neither propping up actual autistic researchers nor doing a genuine real apologize directly to the community. I would've taken either of those as a true apology tbh.
