Trust is probably one of the biggest hurdles for nuclear reneval. Nuclear makes sense as a big baseload for building an energy mix, but people are vary of risks and waste disposal. Generally irrationally, but without trust it doesn’t matter..

This is a great example of how various mixes of clean sources can keep emissions low. Compare that to Germany, where solar and wind cannot provide the power needed and coal and gas have to fill the gap, at the expense of many times higher CO2 emissions.
