Making sizey stories and art have been an outlet for stress. A world where my responsibility and agency is taken from me but framed in a positive manner is intoxicating. But I’m struggling with it now. I don’t feel good about being helpless and fragile. I don’t feel safe enough to let go of safety.

The infarct was over 30 days old so they can’t know when it happened, but I have a damaged artery in my vertebrae that could lead to another, so I’m constantly on alert for signs that something is wrong. These first 90 days are high risk. I want to get back to creating but I need to pace myself.

Last month I was in the hospital. Found out I have an infarct in my cerebellum, which is evidence of a stroke. I don’t remember having one, but the whole experience has left me extremely fragile. I’m not sleeping well. I’m crying a lot. I don’t know if the fatigue is from the stroke or the stress.
