Ever heard of Code for America? There are chapters in a lot of states. I'm nearest Code for Boston so I pay attention to their work. They're active tech people designing solutions to make government run better/easier. Easier sign-ups, fixing bureaucracy issues. They think throwing AI at this is dumb

Believe me, I'm worried about people getting screwed over here too. It's an awful extra burden on people who already have too many. The thing is, even if there were a technical solution, it would be much simpler than some AI agent. PCPs could recertify when people come in for annual check-ins 1/
Show PostAssuming Medicaid was funded to provide those checkups. That also encourages people to keep seeing their PCP for regular treatment and takes the burden off of individuals. They're not going with that because waste and fraud isn't the goal here, they're just after a lever to remove people 2/
Show PostFrom the program. Looking toward some AI agent is trying to make the latest tech buzzword fit into a problem it's just not geared toward. Wrong tool for a technical problem that doesn't deal with the actual problem it would be trying to solve
