to be abandoned by people you used to think were a community, even tho i have since learned if your community doesn’t include elders and children it’s not a community it’s a friend group, only to see them repost slideshows about community care being the real revolution…everything rings out hollow.

i think calling despair arrogance is a very ignorant and callous thing to say that diminishes people’s lived experience of suffering without the support or care needed to pull out of it. if you think despair is ignorant then you have no idea what it’s like to live in misery. good for you i guess.

you try carrying around a lit if heavy stuff all the time, being in pain from displaced ribs and other body pains that happen if i just sit in one position for too long because hyper-fleximobility and bodily dissociation but also your uterus can make you you feel stabbed repeatedly monthly*.

if i don’t have places to be alone in the quiet during the day to reset my nervous system i become an angry monster and will never claw my way out of the misery. the shelter and other houseless services do not help me destim or meet my needs as an autistic person with light and noise sensitivities.
