My only real take on You Can See Everything is that yes, she’s a liar, but also that she rewrites her own memories so she earnestly believes she is telling the truth. Also this is a very common personality type and is usually just known as That Girl Who Lies In High School

Legitimately, Valkyria Chronicles - the anime-alternate-history-WWII-with-magical-girls is 1) a great game, go play it but 2) better about addressing the real nature of the Nazi regime than 95+% of 'gritty' modern realistic WWII games. Which is nuts, the bar is just...so low.
