We've had dogs that will play in the hose water (and get everyone else wet), but El Paso views sprinklers and hose water as The Enemy and you must run from them and if that fails bark at the stream of water.

I read an interesting article the other day. Dogs that don't want to be submersed or swim, still like to cool of by getting their paws wet. Our dog does not like baths or swimming. Gonna try the wet paw trick in this heat!
