Extra fun facts: I named him after a cosmonaut that I read about in the Final Orbit. Not only that but the name meant "warrior" so it fit him. Gave Valeriy an interest in space to flesh him out too and that opened up a little more natural worldbuilding opportunities.

Valeriy's ref is taking ages bc of how much I need to design for him so you just get another yap today. Beta 4 asked me how to pronounce his name recently. I was somehow super convinced of "va-LAHR-ee" until I looked it up. "va-LEER-ee" I am so wrong lol
