Our system is predominantly one of parliamentary sovereignty. Unelected judges make decisions based on law. If the elected organ of democracy does not like that outcome, it changes the law. That’s how we maintain democratic control of our legal system.

Whealy and Watson fundamentally do not like democracy. Their entire political philosophy is that decisions should be devolved to independent panels so that old guys like them can rule like philosopher kings. Why do we keep hearing from them?
