i'm no expert, but i assume that First Nations running out of ballots as residents show up in record numbers is probably an indicator of how things are going politically in Alberta.

Local gov't meaning the federal government for a lot of people, like many on Alberta. They seem to forget they have a municipal and provincial government as well!

What the pro-Canada Conservatives don't seem to understand is that this sort of care and feeding of false grievances is what sustains the separatist movement. They created it. They can choose to kill it. But they have to do the work. And throughout this campaign, not a single one has chosen to.

Congrats to the oil lobby, Alberta government and PM on getting us to a point where a relatively pragmatic editorial board can champion a new pipeline without even having to address environmental/climate concerns (save for passing carbon-capture reference). www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/edit...
