A few years ago, the Supreme Court was regularly issuing summary rulings in favor of cops in qualified immunity cases. Not any more. Today, Justice Alito complains that the court refused to do so in a case involving a deadly police shooting, meaning a jury verdict in favor of plaintiffs survives.
