honest to god, I helped a friend solve a problem with fitting copper flashing into a corner by recognizing it was the same as an underarm sleeve gusset

I’m by no means particularly talented in my repairs but teaching myself how to hand sew and making small mends myself has brought such an incredible joy and deeper relation to my clothing not just as something I own but in tending something that was made with care and purpose.
