i can’t help but notice the gender issue at play here as well, where men fixate on the speed issue because they simply don’t have to worry about waiting at a bus stop in the dark that has no street life in the same way as femmes do. men are often ignoring the safety issue that the CITY acknowledged!

minneapolis is proposing to move nicollet mall transit to one of 3 streets. they have said every single one has a lack of eyes on the street, a safety issue. there’s too little focus on what will be done to improve the transit experience when it moves and this shouldn’t be an afterthought
