As I mentioned on the latest Salt City Hoops and as @danclayt0n.bsky.social covered in his latest piece, NBA owners no longer want to own a team for the novelty and luxury appreciation. It's just a business to own and appreciate value. Zero love for the underlying product.

i was just thinking about this, or maybe just something similar i swear there’s been more top american sport teams being sold than ever before. like the past 5-10 years it’s just ridiculous how many have happened

Yeah, I was keeping my eye on that related to LeBron, but I don't see it happening in Philly. Probably at all, but definitely not as a S&T due to the higher salary. Elsewhere maybe.
