i love when scifi names are just obvious pulls from maybe unrelated words, but they take on a life of thier own quark, nog, rom (a particle, a drink, a computer chip) worf (wharf, on the edges, at the border, the shoreline) data (raw unprocessed information, not knowledge or wisdom)
