Actually I think Lyner specifically says "save" Mir, not "stop". Either way, very similar situations since both go through Some Shit™ before anyone takes the time to understand and help them.

Show PostAlthough there *is* a bad ending in AT1 where you can choose to kill Mir at any point before Lyner resolves to save her. Guess which ending in AT1 I've never gotten? lmao
Show PostThinking more on Meteion's story...it's very similar to how Mir is handled in Ar Tonelico 1. Both have a lot of information about them dumped in the tail end of their respective games and then the protagonist(s) resolve to stop (NOT kill) them.
