I was at a book festival in Brisbane, Australia, and I mentioned that there's a shitty dude in Lessons in Magic and Disaster. I had to change his name at the last moment for various reasons, and I thought a perfect name for a shitty dude was Gavin. A roomful of Australians laughed. They all got it.
