With the caveat that I am not a doctor (a notable caveat!!!), my first question is: How does everyone involved in the decision for Hurts to play last week, from the training staff through to the football execs, not lose their job (at minimum!)?
Show PostI am opposed to instituting a salary cap in MLB primarily because I think the owners and the league's stated concerns about "parity" and "fairness" are not true. Their motivation is to suppress salaries, and anything else is ancillary at best.
Show PostWas asked a question earlier: "Do you like the way any of the cap systems are in other sports or none at all?" My answer: I don't really think it matters on the field. There will always be an unequal distribution of results that perpetuate over time. The *causes* might change, but the outcomes? Nah
