Show PostI tend to go for small details to create the horror in my stories. The knowledge of what something /should/ be like, but yet is somehow /off/ in a subtle way. Atmosphere, too; taking two steps into a room and knowing immediately that something is wrong, but not how, why, or where. #HorrorWritersChat
Show Post#HorrorWritersChat When writing, I often give great thought to not only *what* is terrifying, but *why* it is. Three of biggest horror inspirations for me are: 1. Things vaguely or directly inspired by things I've experienced in the past. 2. Random thoughts or musings that just pop into my head.
