I should use this more, today I'm going to recommend a film A.K.A. Serial Killer by Masao Adachi, A brilliantly layered Marxist film about a real-world murder, maybe the best true crime media to ever exist, a study of the way our environments shape us, and how capitalism shapes them boxd.it/4UqQ

Ghostface would definitely kill me first because he'd ask "what's your favourite scary movie?" and I'd spend an hour talking about the Lacanian analysis of Ogroff and he'd just get pissed off and stab me without even bothering with his little pub quiz.

Annnnnnyway, I love how Zombie gives his Loomis verbatim dialogue from the original but recontextualises it to look like pathetic True Crime bloviating. So fucking good. Aged excellently as well.
