the comparison between JK Rowling and Roald Dahl doesn't feel terribly apt because Dahl was, at least, a phenomenally fascinating person who partied with FDR, had a job as a spy nailing wives in DC, invented complex medical equipment with a toymaker to save his dying infant son, and so on
