OK, but Spencer, the Satanic Panic is the massive conspiracy scare that spread a huge amount of misinformation that can corrupt your research. You've generally done a great job digging through LaVey's dirty laundry, and turned up a lot of verifiable dirt-- so why not be more careful?

OK, first for Spencer. I had an initially really pleasant interaction with him in DMs which soured after he recommended this book. He promised it wasn't Satanic Panic conspiracy stuff. It was. He admitted he had only read the beginning and then said he did not care about the Satanic Panic.
