Also, Hesper did a really, really good quote post explaining what this is like on the other side It hurts a lot. It's not helping. I've been trying to tell friends this for years in regards to people and, namely, myself, and instead I'd keep getting reasons of why they default and then not stop

I set the boundary. I can continue to do everything I can to respectfully try and get folks - friends included, I really want to emphasize that - to respect it. I can't keep up with the corrections. It's everyone else spreading calling me They. It's out of my hands
