Today marks one year since losing my mother. Nothing quite prepares you for the loss of a mother’s love. In her honor, we established the Dr. Usha Gupta Memorial Scholarship to help young women from communities like hers pursue medicine, carrying forward her legacy by opening doors for others.

Being a GenX renaissance festival worker means I can usually find a way to build what I need. Not a single clothes drying rack in this house so I've had to improvise with cardboard boxes and extra shelving.

#Beading up my deceased mom's beads, day 2. The cat beads are mine I bought them to tag my crochet but they didn't work how I wanted them to so... now I'm using them to tag simple bracelets so I can sell them. These beads don't photograph well they're clear beads with gold foil in the centers
