Thread. IMO RU is a much more formidable military adversary now than in Feb 2022, let alone in 2014 (Crimea/Donbas) or 2008 (Georgia). A largely mobilized-for-war economy and learning/adaptation during five years of high intensity warfare. And ofc with Trump’s US, NATO is much weaker/less credible.
