I guess it's too much to ask the Seattle Times Editorial Board to do any research before writing. ZERO PARKING SPOTS WILL BE CLOSED DURING BICYCLE WEEKEND! Car access will be exactly the same as any other day, you just won't be able to drive along the street, which has no on-street parking.

a reminder that a lot of the things people find unpleasant about cities - along with the noise and dirtiness - are largely a product of filling them with cars. get rid of the cars and the pleasantness of the environment improves dramatically
