💯 amazing that the NYT in this and most of their farm country pieces regularly omits that 94% of farmland is operated by white people (who own 98% of the land). Racial issues are only indirectly touched upon (here re: slaughterhouse workers). It’s all about economic anxiety yet they still vote R 🤷♀️
