Well look at all the fun the change from CCG to ICB caused. Most job rationalisation schemes tend to increase the size of the workforce so they can cope with the change. The NHS needs long-term planning that isn't subject to changes in govt

Until recently I was involved with NHS IT, on the GP side and the worry of the job cuts side is just how many of the compatiblity and renewal projects could get effected. Unless you've worked it I am not sure you can imagine just how complicated the NHS is to run

Be interesting how they plan to do this considering the timescales that were involved in the merging of NHS digital, NHS education and NHS England were years. So unless they are just going to make NHS England part of the dept of health it won't complete this term of office
