Thank u I appreciate that. I'm tired after so many years of being ignored or pushed out by these tests and their organizers that. I pretty much want to keep to myself. And the Indigenous focused comix cons sure love to cater to the male artists 🫠 or those who have connections.

As in. I did everything right, applying, getting along with ppl, and then the horrific bigotry within said indie comix spaces are me up, chewed on me spat me out and screamed a slur 😑 like why are we lying to ppl about indie comix spaces being accepting of BIPOC queer artists? Lmao. Come TF on.

I think as one of the few Indigenous femme presenting comix artists, it's very important to me I'm upfront about the abuse and ostracization I've went through the past years when I was earnestly trying to break into whatever comix space I went. But racism and misogynoy spat me out.

It's so fun feeling like there's no space for me in comix spaces, indie comix spaces, and "Indigenous focused" comix spaces 🫠 like wow I tried all of these events and either got ignored or rejected in favor of ppl writing/drawing for the big 2 companies or abuse apologists Oh well
