For those of you who don't know, in the US we are always pressured to stay late to look like a "hard worker". Not to the degree of like, Japan or Korea, but you get side eyed if you leave before 6 usually.

My partner finishes work at 4 PM on the dot every day, and my American brain is struggling to comprehend this. There's no pressure to stay late. None at all. In face, she says if you DO stay late people will look at you weird and think you're working too hard. This is just unfathomable to me.
