Yeah... she's been with him for 10 years, I think. She's much younger than me. I think they've been together since she was late-teens/early-20's. They have a 4-year-old. She really didn't see any of this coming.

I can imagine! The kids shoulder far too much of the emotional burden in situations like that and they're literally the most innocent parties involved in the whole nightmare. I'm glad you have great relationships with his side of the family, at least, if not him & your siblings.

That's good to hear. I have great relationships with my paternal family outside of my father and siblings. There's often a lot thrown on the shoulders of the kids involved, and there's no manual or training to teach kids how to handle those burdens. It makes for tough living at times.

She won't. She's good. She's not like that anyway. And she's done with him, so she's not really even gonna have to deal with the other two kids whose existence was recently revealed to her. She just has to deal with him in terms of the one kid she has with him. She's DONE-ZO.

It's a lot for her to deal with as I have personal experience in this area myself. I just pray she doesn't take it out on the kids. They're victims just as she is. I don't have much of a relationship with my father because of this situation. I'm 53 and still dealing with the emotions of it all.
