A very poignant article by a fellow bereaved parent in yesterday’s Times. So much of it resonates & also the desire to want to give them a massive hug. Christmas is hard. It won’t ever be easy but you will get stronger. (This will be our 12th Christmas without Edward, who died when he was 4) #grief

W is for window. She loved looking out onto the garden, out of the car or buses, likely planning her next mischief. I can see her top knot of curls bobbing along the windowsill as she saw me coming up the drive. Or climbing on the chair with F to look out💕 #grief #childloss

X is for xylophone. Isabelle loved music and having a go at all the instruments. But her and F used to share/squabble over the xylophone. It was so lovely seeing them make music together. I know they would have been singing carols together this evening. #grief #childloss

Y is for "yo yo". She loved standing on my knees, grabbing my hands & me doing 'row row row your boat' with her. But she couldn't quite yet say "r". She would just get up and go "yo yo". Here, she was about to ask for the 100th time that day. I always did. ♥️ #grief #childloss
