Nurses, man. Angels isn’t enough. Too abstract. I’m going with grandparents/construction workers. They wield science like kung fu. They’re not going to allow you to wallow. They don’t have the training their bosses have, but they practice that training. And they bring you oxy. Kidding, but they do.

It’s this or slowly die from a closing aorta or stroke out with the afib. I’ve lived with this my whole life. I’m happy and grateful to have it addressed.

Aortic valve replacement (Ross Procedure), Maze procedure and an LAA (clip closing my left atrium). Five to seven hours on the bypass machine. Because it’s congenital, I’ll be at the children’s hospital in Madison.
