This gets into the whole Western fandom's toxicity around what's considered canon, which isn't even a conversation among the people who actually PRODUCE these works. It just has cultural ick all over it.
Show PostI think it's some real Western bullshit to hear Kishimoto honoring his former assistant's work on Boruto and see people responding with "See, Boruto ISN'T CANON." This is his hand-picked successor who he's been working with for the entire run of the series and he's trying to give him credit for it.
Show PostLooks like Boruto spoilers are dropping, so I'm off for my monthly break. Have fun, all! I'll drop in if I have anything to share!
Show PostThere's a lot of Naruto fans that are the anime equivalent of boomer parents who repost stuff with no knowledge of it's background or context.
