I'm fighting a cold, I've been stupid busy, and this week has been extremely rough with fuckshit happening almost every day. But. BUT. The sun is shining. My friend's cat let me pick him up. And I sat on the stoop with my neighbor and his cat for a few minutes this evening and that was worthwhile.

Last nights supper: a perennial favourite at our house, bangers and mash. It's sausages on a bed of mashed potatoes covered in onion gravy, but my wife adds a twist; she folds spinach into the mash!

My wife made ice cream from fresh local strawberries, then served it between Macadamia nut cookies, creating possibly the best dessert I have ever tasted.
