There's a whole world out there of fantastic science communicators who are not influencers. Almost no one I know can do that work as a full-time job (even the really good ones with large platforms). Most are doing it on the side, without resources or platforms. They've always been there.

This is a good explanation of lipreading . A jigsaw that the brain puts together. It’s also how my vision works , a few small parts that I put together to form information. I can no longer lip read for to vision loss but mi cochlear implants help me with consonant sounds that I used to lipread.

Chemists have crammed a record nine metals into a type of 2D material called a MXene (pronounced ‘max-een’). There weird materials have high electrical conductivity and other characteristics, which might open the door to designing a multitude useful substances.
