This provides the first structural explanation of SRSF6 RNA recognition by integrating crystallography, NMR, biophysics, MD simulation, iCLIP and splicing. It unveils general principles of how tandem RRMs generate specificity and reconciles discrepancies between in vitro and in vivo studies.
