Literally one of the issues I've ever told someone about manga is that it should be taken to consideration and given time because the mangaka has so much work to do. They have a life, too. We can't have a good series when the author is pushed to death's door. So, why is having patience so hard?

As others have said, it is indeed good to use dissatisfaction with a work as motivation to make one's own (so long as it is not overall made in bad faith), but indeed, he seems to also basically imply non-creative complaints do not apply, which is not the best mindset, really. Complaints are valid.

mangaka should be respected. going after artists for something you don't like doesn't solve anything. It's what they created. having opinions is one thing, but you can't demand anything from how an artist makes something

You might have missed the ragebaiting grifters hating on Shiharama Kamome for her interview with UNESCO about how invisible women are. The concept of being a man who’s not in the field mansplaining how misogyny doesn’t exist to a female mangaka because *checks note* popular mangaka exists.
