I'm on strike this afternoon, along w TEU members nationwide. Not a long strike, but I hope symbolic of our resolve. I've been an academic for a decade. My pay has increased by less than inflation *every single year*. My professional staff colleagues are underpaid & denied clear career progression.

Today is a strike day, or should I say ANOTHER strike day. This is the third time in my career (or is it fourth?) that I'm going on strike. It's easy to lose count because the substantial issue is the same every negotiation.. pay Pay offer lower than inflation. Refusal to guarantee a living wage.
