Here's a fun story about DEC. It was one of THE hot tech stocks of the day. In late September they held DEC World In Boston. The stock got to 199 3/4 (maybe it was 199 7/8) but it never ticked 200. As in never ever again. Eventually got bought out by Compaq who eventually got bought out by HP.
