I still read to my son (13) most nights, though I've considered stopping soon because he wants to stay up later than I do! @marthawells.bsky.social's murderbot series is one of our recent faves.
Show PostThere's definitely some swearing. I think I started when he was 12. If they're big sci-fi fans that would probably help understand what's going on. Also I've loved the gender discussions it has promoted, my son now yells at me if I accidentally misgender Murderbot!
