Build a community of trust, and be trustworthy yourself.

We need to restore trust in the community, but trust has to begin somewhere. If you identify somebody who is clearly just in it for themselves, don't mirror that behavior. Don't get involved with them. No need to call them out, either. Just shut them out of your life. You need allies, not deceit.

This isn't really meant to be a rant and I don't have some sort of solution for this. I just want newer actors to kind of have their guard up when it comes to some of their peers. Learn who really has your back, who you should support and form friendships with, and who's just using you.

I feel like there's a "rot" in the voiceover industry right now. It's something that's probably always been there, but I think it's been progressively getting worse. There's this strange attitude that can basically be summed up as, "F*ck y'all. I got mine." And I'd like to talk about it. 🧵
