I always wanted an old-school waxed canvas coat. Last year, I found a ‘1885’ style canvas coat for 70% off. Got it & it was weirdly bunched up, & quite long. Paid $50 to have it tailored. Somehow came back drenched in perfume, so I washed it twice. Spent 2 hours waxing it. Now it cures.

But when I first got it, when I did it up, I looked like too much meat crammed in a sausage casing. I had to wash it, too! And yet, it’s loose enough for a perfect fit now. Yay exercises.

Thank you to those who fought for Canada. This is a blowout. But it does not sit well with me that the Alberta separatist campaign could not have been more cartoonishly stupid, more politically inept, more obviously mendacious and weird, and may still get almost a quarter of the province to say yes.
